Sunday 9th AugustWe leave for Springfield to see Suzy's daughter Jes. On the way we stop at a place called Westminster College, Fulton. This
is a private university with connections to Winston Churchill. It is very, very, posh. They also have a big section of the
Berlin Wall there http://www.westminster-mo.edu/Pages/default.aspxWhen we arrive in Springfield after our 5 hour drive, Jes g
ives us a tour of the university then we go back to
her apartment for a swim in the pool on the complex (I have to point out to Jack that most student places aren't
like this!). On the way back to Jes' place she points out the prison hospital that holds lots of criminal celebs. One on the
most famous inmates was Mafia boss John Gotti.Jes' apartment is too small for us all to stay, so we stay a really nice hotel the La Quinta, about 5 minutes drive from
Jes' place.
